WUHAN, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Major troupes in central China's Wuhan resumed their offline performances on Friday, as seven theaters in the city once hit hard by COVID-19 epidemic reopened to the public amid tight epidemic prevention measures.

The theaters will limit visitor flow to no more than 30 percent of their maximum capacity in accordance with the epidemic prevention and control requirements. Audiences need to make reservations for the shows, according to the city's culture and tourism bureau.

"The resumption of the theatrical performances indicates that Wuhan is gradually returning to normal life," said Wang Li, an actress.

So far, major troupes in Wuhan have staged nearly 70 online performances on China's popular video sharing platforms, attracting 19.16 million viewers. Some shows will continue to be streamed live after the theaters resumed business, said the bureau.
